We all know that its not easy to adapt a healthy lifestyle – it requires efforts, commitment, and patience. And this is where our Mini Guide to Live a Healthy Lifestyle comes in. This consists of baby steps that are easy to take for people who want to kickstart their journey to a healthy lifestyle but do not know where to start from. Here is our 1o Step Mini Guide to a Healthy Lifestyle:

  1. Start your Morning Early:

How you start your morning sets the tone for how you feel for the rest of the day. You can start this by waking up an hour early then you usually do and set a good morning routine for yourself that can involve you sitting with your morning coffee, reading a book, or prepping for the day ahead.

 

  1. Drink Plenty of Water:

A simple one how has a lot of effect. We humans underestimate the value of water – it helps with digestion, good skin, increasing immunity etc. Other benefits of drinking water are carrying nutrients and oxygen to your cells, flushing bacteria from your bladder, regulating body temperature, etc. You can also get fancy and prepare yourself detox water- they help with weight loss, boosting immune system, increasing energy levels and improving mood. You will find plenty of easy recipes online.

 

  1. Mediation:

You won’t believe the benefits of squeezing a 10-minute meditation in your day. Along with the various mental health benefits it has, it also makes one productive and more charged for their day. Meditation is also a good coping mechanism to manage stress, focusing on the present and increasing self-awareness, patience, and tolerance

 

  1. Exercises:

It is very important to do some sort of physical exercise in order to keep our body active. Go out in the morning sun for a jog, join gym, dance, or just get a yoga mat and do some home workouts. You can choose the kind of workout that makes you happy. Physical exercises also help bump the production of our brain’s feel-good hormone – endorphins that will help put you in a good mood.

 

  1. Include a lot of Greens in your meals:

Making half your plate of food vegetables at each meal is a quick trick for healthy eating and healthy living. The vegetables are a rich source of phytonutrients, vital vitamins, and other nutrients for good health and long life. They also serve to promote digestion and keep you feeling fuller for a longer period of time because they are high in fibre.

 

  1. Eat a lot of fruits daily:

Fruits are a great source of fibre as well as important vitamins and minerals. Fruits also include a variety of antioxidants, including flavonoids, which are good for your health. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables can lower a person's risk of diabetes, cancer, inflammation, heart disease, and other diseases. Berries and citrus foods may be particularly effective at preventing illness.

  1. Find yourself a hobby that you enjoy:

It is very important that you spend a good fraction of time doing things you love – it could be drawing, painting, writing, dancing, some sort of activity that exercises your brain in a good way. It will keep your brain active and always learning. This really helps one relax and can also develop into healthy coping mechanisms.

 

  1. Journaling:

Journaling on a daily basis can help you be more self-aware about how and where you are spending your time, emotions and most importantly your energy. It will also help you reduce stress and anxiety if you are struggling with either of them. It can lift your spirits and increase your sense of general emotional health and happiness.
