Why do relaxing home style matters?

People become more stressed lately. We all have to deal with stress at some point, whether it be work, school, or family, whether it is expected or not. As I mentioned, stresses are everywhere, we can’t foresee where or when we will become overloaded.

Also, studies have shown that the unpleasant environment causes negative feelings like:

  • Blues or depressed
  • Nervousness
  • Helpless
Isn’t it the time to start to relax before it goes too far? A relaxing home is key to helping you handle all stresses that you are facing.

Did you know that we spend most of our 24 hours sleeping

and working?

But what does it even mean? It means that we spend most of our time at home and the workplace, which is a good start to creating a relaxing environment where we spend our time. I won’t talk about the workplace, because we can’t really adjust much since it is not our space. What we could do is make our own space into a relaxing and cozy home and it is super-duper easy! Here are some guides for your calm space.

How to create a relaxing space at home:

 Natural therapy

1. Windows for natural lights and fresh air

As I have mentioned above the environment can affect your moods and nature can be one of the solutions. So, having a little green space in your house is a great idea and it is not as difficult as you think. You can start with having a little tree in your living room, bathroom, stairs side, hallways, a little garden on the balcony, or even a little fish bowl that have water plants. These will give you cool and calm tones from the greenery space, which give a relaxing mood to recharge your body and mind. In fact, you can easily get a natural therapy because having plants or a green zone in your place benefit you mentally and physically; it helps reduce:

3. Characters of Colors

The research shows that colors can affect your moods and feelings or also known as Color PsychologyTherefore, choosing the right colors or the right tones could change your home’s mood into a cozy mood or something else. For instance; if you decided to paint your room black, your room might look smaller and evoke fear. While white color can make your room seems a bit larger with freshness and simplicity. Here are other meanings and feelings of other examples of colors:

  • Blue – is the color of calm that represents peace and serenity.

“Less is More”, simplicity or minimalism home or room style can help you to release from stress while keeping your house still looking great. Keep the place well-organized with simple colors and tones or try to avoid putting too much furniture or too many details in the house.
